#00 Regular/Medium Springs - approx. 4¾" Tall
Sold/priced by the Spring

The function of springs in upholstered furniture is to absorb shock and give added resilience to the seat. Springs used in upholstery are classified according to their usage, firmness, shape and end of coil. They are selected to suit the use, the load they are to carry, and the depth of the frame in which they will be placed.

#00 Regular/Medium Springs
Also available in size #0 (approx. 5 5/8") size #1 (approx. 7 1/2") and size #2 (approx. 9¼")
  • Approximately 4¾" tall and 4 5/8" wide at its widest point
  • 10 gauge weight
  • Used mainly for chairs and ottomans
  • Knot of the spring goes on the top; non-knotted end rests on the webbing
  • Note that it is very common practice for professional upholsterers to bend the top rung of the spring to either shorten or lengthen the height of the spring, so order the spring that is closest to the spring height required
  • Also note that the spring height will be compressed once they're tied down, so be sure to order the correct size to yield the end result you need.

    Important note:
Price is for each spring, so when purchasing, (from the shopping cart) type the number of springs needed into the quantity box and click "Update Quantities."
