These nails are what you need to use to secure spring twine, zig zag springs, etc. to the frame. The shanks are ribbed, which ensures the nails (and thus the springs or clips) will not pull out from the frame. It is extremely important to use a ribbed shank. If the nail is not ribbed, it can pull out of the wood easily or can make its way out of the wood over time. Since the nails are used to secure your seat support (tied coil springs, zig zags/sinuous, rubber webbing, etc.), be sure to use the appropriate nail that won't undermine the basis of your furniture's foundation. Use ribbed nails!
